Right now I'm currently reading Steppenwolf along with several other books too. It seems to me that Harry Haller is fighting some
inner demons. He said that he's a wolf from the Steppes which I still haven't figured out what that means yet. Harry Haller sounds like he might be Schizophrenic because he doesn't know if he's a wolf walking on two legs who thinks he's a a man or if he's a man who thinks he's a wolf and he talks about not being able to be happy for too long. And that the wolf part of him will ambush the human side if he gets too happy and the human side of himself will also amush the wolf side of himself. He says that he's The Steppenwolf now to me that kinda sounds like some kind of a title or Chieftain from a Clan like in Highlander The Series when Duncan Macleod says, I'm Duncan Macleod of the Clan Macleod. I still have quite a ways to go in the book before I'll finish it. So far I've been enjoying the book. Can someone Please help me understand the book without spoiling it for me?
