Hey okay so first time post. I've been trying to think of the title of this book I read a long time ago. Its basically about this guy who moves to the country to get away from a bad break up. So he meets one of the local law enforcers that day. Anyway this cop at first stays distance because his first lover was killed. Anyway they end up getting together and the guys friends come to visit him, and you find out the sheriff is the guy who killed the cops lover since he goes after the new guy next.

I too am searching for a long lost work. It's a life of Frederick Barbarossa and the Crusades and touches on his sexual encounters with other men. Pretty heady stuff for a kid in grade school so the book has to date back at least 50 years.

Hi everyone. It's my first post to the group. A couple of years back I found this excerpt on the Net but I did not save the name of its author and have forgotten it, and the website doesn’t exist any longer:
"… In New York in the early fifties, Jimmy would push the boundaries of his sexuality in ways he never had before. With one young man who was a dancer, Jimmy had a wild, passionate sex life that was defined by a total lack of restraint. Jimmy's friend, beautiful, blue-eyed, blond-haired, had, of course, the slender yet delicately muscular body of a dancer…”
The book is obviously gay-themed. Can anybody tell me the name of the author of this book and its title?
