Brother Bear in his little red car slowly but surely wins out against the yellow and blue cars in this tortoise-and-hare story. book discusses how brother bear won the big race because he continued to work hard despite not being the fastest car in the race. 2 books I had mixed feelings about this book after reading it. I liked this book because it was an obvious spin off of the classic fable “The Tortoise and the Hare”. I thought the authors did and awesome job of changing the story so that children in these times can understand the message and plot a little more. The fact that the authors chose cars in the story can grab a lot of children’s attention because it is something they can relate to. The plot was engaging and fast paced to keep readers attention. The one thing I did not like was how it didn’t really incorporate the Berenstain Bears into the story at all, other than the looks of the characters, even though it was a Berenstain Bear’s book! Overall the big idea of the story is to keep trying your best no matter how hard it seems and who says you can’t. This is the story will teach children about not giving up no matter how bad things may seem. The little red car just kept on putting and ended up winning the race. The four mean race car drivers all got a bit head and ended up losing. inga recensioner | lägg till en recension
