Read the book for the fantastic illustrations by Paul Kidby. Terry Pratchett, the usual witty and humorous writer needs to read Stephen King's "On Writing" to learn how to write about what inspires him to write. This Portfolio could be so much more than it is. (

Beautiful illustrations, this book stands by itself, but is also a good taster for The Artwork of Discworld, which has more colour. (

A selection of drawings of various discworld characters by Paul Kidby. The quality of the drawings is stunning, much more realistic than Josh Kirby's covers. There's not much prose, just brief descriptions, but what there is is amusing and in keeping. Perhaps an item for completists, but well worth having a look at. (
