Cute, easy to read mystery. (

Charlotte Bell is depressed after having an affair with the husband at her former nanny job. She decides to take a job as a nanny to the daughter of the American ambassador in Iceland. The majority of the book is fluffy chic lit. Then the last 20 pages the book totally goes off the rails and starts throwing in stuff from left field that made no sense. (

This is one of the worst books I have ever read. It is not a mystery. It does not even rank up there with Harlequin romance. The ending is awful and degrading to women. Do not waste your time on this bad example of chick lit. (

After Charlotte's heart is broken by her previous (married) employer, in order to get away, she accepts a nanny position in Iceland. Unfortunately, she later finds herself falling for her new employer. What she's not sure about is where his wife is?

I thought this was cute. I loved all the references to Nancy Drew and there were shades of Jane Eyre. It really is a mindless, fluffy, quick read, though. Don't expect too much out of it. Though some didn't like the ending, I did. (
