V for Vanishing is an informative book that has illustrations that leap off of the page! Mullins shows readers different animals by using the alphabet. Some of these animals are in danger of becoming extinct. The pictures are very detailed and textured with paint. As an animal lover, this book made me feel compassion for the animals that may become extinct, and I know it will do the same for children as well as show them various animals that they may have not known about before. ( )

Review: This is an excellent example of and informational text because uses accurate information with accurate illustrations to show the various endangered animals. There is an endangered animal for each letter of the alphabet.
Media: Collage using a variety of tissue papers, and occasionally, Ostrich Feathers.
Style: This informational text is written with a very good rhythm to it. As you read the book you can see how it repeats with the letter and then the animal that is endangered. This patter repeats its self throughout the whole book. ( )
