“Quick Little Landscape Quilts” by Joyce Becker is one of her most recent books. While the landscapes may be quilted, instead of becoming quilts, they are put into mats and a picture frame is added. The base of the quilt is a very heavy interfacing, Fast 2 Fuse, which is fusible on both sides. Becker gives ideas for inspiration for your quilt, and if you can’t find an idea, several projects have been included. Quick Little Landscape Quilts used a lot of different embellishments to make the quilts appear natural. Some of these include tulle, netting, Angelina, colored dryer lint, and marking tools such as fabric pens, paints, and more. Becker includes as many embellishments as she would use in a large quilt, but I think that since these quilts are smaller, you can pay more attention to the details.
