Granted this book was written in 1999, but the big secret doesn't pack as big a punch now as it most likely did then. I'd already figured it out long before the big reveal, however finding out I was right did not diminish my enjoyment of Milan Jacovich's latest adventure in detecting, which includes the welcome return of his friend, high school principal Reggie Parker (who had a sizable role in an earlier book). I'm reading the series in order, and the way in which Milan's friends and acquaintances move in and out of his life and cases is done in a realistic manner, and serves as an effective way of keeping things fresh and somewhat unpredictable. inga recensioner | lägg till en recension

I'm not sure there really is a Sherman College in a town called Sherman in Lorain County, Ohio. I'm guessing the author made up a location. In light of how the college and town treat Jason, that may have been to avoid implicating a real college.
I do feel sorry for Jason, whose life was changed forever by the lies told by others. I also feel sorry for him that his father couldn't accept and love Jason for who he is. ( )
