The other reviewers say it better than I can. Clever jokes about the impermanence of fads and the power of marketing, cool style of artwork, and little relevancy to children. If it's an argument that the free market is not the evil that many picture-books make it out to be, with their slant towards compassion and sharing and everyone-gets-a-voice perspective, it fails. After all, meaningless catch-phrases are not intrinsically valuable. If it's an indictment of the triviality of fashion then the pigs should not have continued to be so rich. Part of me really despises the book, but I do have to give kudos to the art and to the humor, even as I wince. ( )

So they think of “BAA” , “Quack”, And “Ribbit.” The sheep, duck, and frog aren’t too happy with this, and end up being their business partners. This book is fun to read with younger children, and make all the animal noises. ( )
