I've always been fascinated by sea turtles and find this book to be a terrific celebration of them. It tells of the life cycle of a single loggerhead turtle in straight and wavy narrative lines (probably the same motions of a swimming turtle) and gorgeous illustrations. An extra added treat is an index in the back of the book which points readers to specific information on previous pages. This book would be excellent for any preschooler who loves hearing and learning about sea creatures or for a school age child who would like to try reading about this fascinating creature. This book was about the loggerhead turtle. It followed a turtle from when it was a baby to when she had her own babies. I liked this book because there were two fonts on each page; one was the story and the other were scientific facts about the turtles. The pictures were illustrations, but looked scientific. This book is about baby turtles and how they are born and their life cycles. it follows a baby turtle and shows how she grows up into a loggerhead turtle. I really liked the illustrations in this book! I think it would be good for a read aloud for transitions into talking about turtles or just to give kids a simple brain break! I like that it can also be for struggling readers because the text is simple. inga recensioner | lägg till en recension
