He can do no wrong for me, and The Duckling Gets A Cookie!? is another winner. Although the Pigeon books are great for read-a-louds, the joy of the Pigeon books is the look on Pigeon's face--frustration, longing, conniving. A Pigeon book doesn't necessarily break new ground in children's picture books, but it is consistently good. And, really, what is wrong with more of a good thing? A humorous story featuring Pigeon, from "Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus", and Duckling. Duckling asks for a cookie, politely that is, and receives a cookie. Pigeon gets very angry and goes on a rant about how he asks for things but never receives anything. Young children can easily read this book and it teaches them on how to politely ask for things. Mo Williams does another great job on having captivating illustrations, yet they are so simple and expressive; showing all of Pigeon's emotions during his rant. inga recensioner | lägg till en recension
