Nancy Tillman has a wonderful, poetic way with words. "The Crown on Your Head" has beautiful pictures to go with beautiful writing, and is the perfect story with which to send your little one off to sleep. Every child is born with a crown, made of beautiful things, that makes them unique and special, and, most of all, loved. All over the world, in every country, city, or town, across cultures and all the differences that make us wonderful, we are all magnificent in our own way. ( )

This was such a beautiful book both inside and out. Through the book children realize that we believe that they are born carrying with them a potential for greatness. I wish I’d had this book when my children were younger. It teaches children that no matter what their differences, be it religion or culture everyone has this potential. I was still able to share this with my daughter who can now share such a wonderful book with her children. Through this book she can teach them how special they are.
