Ms. Anderson succeeded to incorporate an unusual three-way and a curvatious babe in her story without tipping the scale from erotica to trashy porn AND MOST IMPORTANTLY------ the main female lead DID NOT sound like an insecure whiny bitc*!!! Sure she is bouncy in all the right places and trough the story she did have a shy moment or two, she did not slobber around in corners feeling sorry for herself. Amen to that!!!!! Além disso têm uma preferência por gordinhas e um dos gémeos é bom enquanto o outro é mau. É no bom vs mau e no sexo a três em simultâneo que consiste grande parte do problema da história romântica. Tal como nos livros anteriores, "Sought" é condimentado com muito humor e aventuras. Outros "heróis" e damas em apuro são introduzidos nesta história, nomeadamente o filho do vilão, Xairn e a Lauren, prima de Olívia e Sophia. Até agora Xairn tem me despertado muita curiosidade e vai ser interessante ver como será a história dele. Prevejo que este seja venha a ser o herói mais torturado deles todos. A mitologia destes livros continua a expandir-se mas mantém-se interessante, apresentando as várias culturas planetárias Kindred (e respectivas anatomias) que, por sua vez, originam as cenas mais cómicas ou absurdas. Estou a adorar esta saga porque tem um pouco de tudo o que eu gosto em romances "hot" com o extra do humor e do cenário sci-fi. Every time she's feeling unsure about what's happening, the boys jump in and tell her that her size is beautiful and even revered. I think her personality was mentioned... once? I get it, Kat's a big girl. But it felt like all this book focused on was the fact that Big is Beautiful to the Twin Kindred. Heather's review touched on a very interesting point - the Miranda plotline could have been a veritable gold mine of angst and substance, instead it was glossed over and all but forgotten. Again, this book used "OMG I'm going to die and I've just realised I can't live without them" to resolve their issues, which disappoints me. However, the new characters that will be the focus of the next book might actually not confirm with this trite device. Could it be? I preferred this book to the first two, but it was still disappointing. Why can't any of these women actually WANT the sex, rather than it being apparently forced on them until they decide to accept it? I refuse to re-read previous books, but wasn't Kat interested in Kindred sex when they were discussing it at the beginning? I hoped it would be at least 4 stars. Unfortunately, Sought has even more of the same problems that has followed this series so far.
I purchased the first 4 books at the same time, so I still have book #4 to read. Just not anytime soon.
I have to say I love the concept of the series & there are great erotic scenes that are really steamy.
But.......I have 2 major problems with the stories.
#1 The repetitiveness!
Whole pages that are not necessary to the story. They detract from it in an extensive way.
These monotonous sections should have been used to increase the risky and dangerous situations the characters find themselves in.
But those are rushed and have unconvincing miraculous endings.
#2 The immature and absurd way the females behave.
Way to much crying and 'squeeing'!
That is a word from the book, which seems to mean a high pitched squeal.
This series could have been breathtaking, but books #2 & #3 have been mediocre.
