This is probably one of the most perfect books for a child to read. It is basic enough for them to understand the meaning, it is insanely relatable to those who don't even have dogs, and it is short and sweet. Kids love these types of books. If it is getting read to them or they are reading it themselves they'd love this book. ( )

This book is just adorable! If your an animal lover then I would recommend this book! It is definitely a great book for kids who are just starting to read. It has short sentences and lots of pictures. This book is all about how great puppies are. It goes on to say that puppies love to play and cuddle and give kisses! ( )

This was a really cute book. I liked it because of the content in the book as well as the illustrations. In the book the author is telling kids all of the things puppies can do. For example, “Puppies can chase a ball, learn how to sit, and give you their paw.” This book can help children understand everything that puppies do and how you need to take care of them. Also, at the end of the book it says, “But best of all…puppies can give you lots and lots of love.” This shows that even though taking care of puppies can be a lot of work, they love you unconditionally. The illustrations in the book really help the text. They show the actions of the people and dogs in the book. The main idea of this book is that even though pets may be a lot of work, they will love you unconditionally. ( )

This a cute book to read to students. It is a good subject that many children can relate to if they have their own pets. Teachers could ask the students what they think their own pet does best after reading it to the class. ( )
