This review is from: Thin Ice (Kindle Edition)
I freely admit when I got through the first few chapters of this book, I wasnt feeling Ice...AT ALL, and even though I knew self-preservation was uppermost in Kiki's mind, I kept wondering how she could enjoy being intimate with Ice when he made it clear he was planning on killing her best friend. But as the book progressed, Kiki's strength began to show. I actually liked Tweety from the very beginning. Both she and Kiki did what they had to do to survive, but somewhere along the line, they caught feelings for Ice and Ryan.
For some reason I love Ryan and Tweety together. He was just a totally different person with her. Although both women plotted to escape the two brothers, in the end, they realized they were with exactly who they should be with. I even warmed up to Ice quite a bit, although I'd still feed him with a long handled spoon. However, deep down inside, he really loved Kiki, and as he told her he accepted her for who she was; he didnt need her to change or be someone she wasnt.
This book kept me on the edge of my seat, and I was truly clueless as to how this would end...it couldve gone either way. The way it kept the reader off balance are signs of signs of a great writer. Cant wait to read TI2, as well as the rest of Kr Bankston's books! Enjoyed this to the fullest! ( )
