Goofy and Mickey Mouse take a trip to Japan. They see some of the Icons of Japan. They get an actual view and experience the Japanese culture. They experience some of the childrens' favorite hobby of kite flying. When they go to a kite store to purchase a kite, they are unable to because they are sold out. So they decide to build themselves one, and soon a police officer helps them. After they complete the kite, Goofy takes the kite for a fly and soon after trips and lets the kite go. After chasing the kite, they later find the kite in the yard of a small boy. The boy tells them to enter it in a kite, because he was unable to buy a kite. So the next day, they let the boy fly their kite in the contest.
This is an excellent book to teach students about other cultures and nations. This teaches about some of the famous sights in Tokyo, Japan. Then it also teaches about their famous types of food, hobbies, different types of kites, and teaches towards the end what Japan is famous for throughout the world. This also teaches children about friendship and character building. ( )
