Frost is a girl who has always been scared of killing her friends. She finds two kinds of love, and she also finds herself. It's one of the best Young Adult books I've ever read. A journey to become the person you were meant to be. That's the moral of the story. There are no words good enough to describe it. ( )

How I wanted to like this! But I think I've read enough fantasy at this point to know when something doesn't quite reach my threshold of interest. The writing skews young, with the subsequent thinness of thorough world-building; transparent love triangle with predictable "corners"; and self-denying, self-hating protagonist that typically follow.

I was a little apprehensive about reading this one, surely after Daughter of the Flames she couldn't suck me in as well again? Wrong. This one also sucked me in and compelled me to keep reading.

Frostfire hears a wolf in her dreams and when she is in danger that wolf, who calls her daughter, comes out and savagely attacks those who have put her in danger. This led to her mother and her running for many years and now she is on her own, there are those who would kill her for this strange, almost posession, but there is one whose love might just help her and set her free.

I loved this story, there were times when it seemed to lag a little and where things got a little bogged down, but as the story unfolded and the ending hit me it just shone for me. I would recommend this series to lovers of Fantasy, YA or not. ( )
