There's not really a "moral" to the story, which is find, but you can't really take-away anything good from it. Maybe it was an amusing tale at one point, but it's just antiquated now. ( )

This book can be used in a lesson about fairytale stories! ( )

In this story, a prince is in search of a real princess to marry, but every princess he meets seems to be fake. One night a princess shows up to the castle in search of shelter from a storm. The queen agrees, but puts her up to a secret test. she places a pea on the bottom of 20 mattresses. If she can feel the pea through the mattresses, then she has the true delicate skin of a princess. The next morning the girl does mention to have felt the pea, proving herself worthy. The prince and princess marry and live happily ever after.
I thought this was a cute and entertaining story. I definitely can see young kids wanting to read it. The illustrations are very fun and the words on each page are very easy to read. I think this is a good early reading book for young students. ( )

Is she a princess or not? This reader thinks she is! Such a classic example of story's that have stood the test of time. This book will be an instant favorite in any household. ( )
