In "In The Garden", a little boy goes through the steps of making a garden. He plants seeds, makes rows, waters and more to fulfill his need to garden. After his work is finished he goes about his days playing in the yard not paying much attention to the garden. After a while the garden grows into many plants. The little boy is amazed by his work. He was able to take pride in it.

The little boy taught himself a lesson. If you work hard at something, you will get good results in the end. He was able to build this beautiful garden all by himself and he was rewarded with wonderful vegetables in the end. Together with his patience and determination, he had great results. ( )

This is a great rhyme book to introduce gardening to young children and discuss effects of the weather on plants and germination. ( )

This book is perfect for really young children as a way to introduce the concept of gardening to them. Its a hard book, so it is perfect for toddlers. The book shows every step of gardening from the begging stages of prepping a garden to the finished product. ( )
