Laddar... Two Dog Biscuitsav Beverly Cleary
![]() Det finns inga diskussioner på LibraryThing om den här boken. 00011384 What kind of troll gives a Beverly Cleary children's book one star, right? Don't worry, I'll tell you exactly why...while spoiling the entire plot of this very short picture book: Twins, a boy and a girl, are given two milkbone dog biscuits. They leave them various places around the house until they decide to give them to dogs. They then go around town seeing all sorts of dogs with their biscuits in their pockets and VETO EACH ONE for reasons like the size of the dog or the fact that the dog barked. They go home and feed both bones to their cat. Their parents didn't think a cat would eat them, but it did. Lesson everyone is supposed to learn: Sometimes parents don't know everything. Lesson I learned: These twins are monsters. Who teases dogs like that? And what parent would let their kids tease dogs like that? Clearly Beverly Cleary 2012, Book 5. Two Dog Biscuits is is a story of twins who do everything together. Together the twins recieve a dog biscuit. They leave the dog biscuit all around the house. Their mother is fed up with the dog biscuit and takes the twins outside to give to a dog. The family searches what seems like the entire town searching for a worthy dog to take the dog biscuit. The twins finally find a cat who is the unlikely candidate for their dog biscuits. The twins mom is surprised as she told the twins that the cat would not like the doggy treat. This is a clever story as it teaches us to never assume, in other words don't judge a book by its cover. Janet and Jimmy are twins who like to do everything together at the same time. When they go visit their neighbor, she gives them each a dog biscuit. They keep the biscuit until their mother says they should give the biscuits to a dog. They go on a walk to find the perfect dog to give their biscuit to. Every dog they see they think of a reason not to give it to the dog. They see a cat and decide to give their biscuits to the kitty. She ate all the biscuits up and purred at Jimmy and Janet when she was finished them. This could be read in class for A.R.P points. The lesson I got out of this book was, give something you don't need or want to someone or something that needs it. inga recensioner | lägg till en recension
