With all the press coverage recently about the Australian Citizenship test and how difficult the questions were, or rather, claims that people born in Australia would not be able to answer the questions in the test, I thought I should download the resource book and practice questions to see what the truth is.

I found the booklet easy to read, and there was very little in it that I didn't already know. Having said that, I probably should have read it before doing the test, as I only managed to get 19 out of 20 questions right (15 is the pass mark) when I did the test.

I recommend all Australians read the book, or watch the accompanying DVD/video files, both of which are available to download free from www.citizenship.gov.au. The A4-sized booklet has 86 pages, but only the first 35 pages constitutes the "Testable Section" and practice questions, the remainder being an excellent description of Australia today and Australia's history.
