( ) I was lucky enough to receive an ARC for an honest review. Into the Fire, was a fun easy read, no big emotional baggage just two people going happily through life. Ash as a tattoo artist aspiring business owner, and Alessandra an escort. Why does hot guy Ash need an escort you ask? In a nut shell, his parents are jerks! ( like you want to throat punch the mom, after the first time she opens her mouth, jerk!) We get dual POV in this book, no cliffhanger. I am going to keep this review simple. I don't want to get to deep into the story line and ruin it. What we get in this book is pretty straight forward. Alessandra is open to finding a relationship, love, marriage, kids the whole shebang. Ash is perfectly happy Skating through life being the hot, arrogant (for good reason) bed hopper he has always been, not willing to change for anyone. When Ash and Alessandra meet up to discuss the rules of their business arrangement Ash goes to great lengths to explain to Alessandra he is not boyfriend material, he never wants a girlfriend, wife, kids or monogamy. The interaction between Ash and Alessandra is the best part of the book. Their dialogue is funny and believable. By believable I mean, Ash and Alessandra stay true to who they are throughout the book. We see changes in both Ash and Alessandra but they are gradual, organic nothing changes mid page that leaves you wondering, “what the hell just happened”. I loved that. We also see bits and pieces of Ash’s friend Sawyer, I would’ve liked to see some more of him, but on the other hand, I did like that the book concentrated on Ash and Alessandra and not a bunch of secondary characters. It actually was a nice change for me to just read a book and not have all the outside distractions of secondary a storyline. We get more of Ash and Alessandra. We get some great sexy love scenes, some drama, and of course love, that has both Ash and Alessandra fighting it to the end. Ash might have been a little to thorough during their initial meet and greet with his long winded, “don’t ever fall in love with me.” ;) E.L. Todd gives us yet another great book. Looking forward to what is coming next. inga recensioner | lägg till en recension
