This is a beautiful book of poetry, written by an ardent admirer of Emily Dickinson. The poems give insight into many aspects of Emily Dickinson’s life. They include poems about Dickinson’s cold parents, as well as her relationships with her brother, sister, and dog. The poems also delve into Emily Dickinson’s ability to find God in nature and also her reclusiveness and penchant for white dresses. This book is beautifully illustrated. Each richly colored charcoal-like illustration could be a painting, which may remind the reader of the wonderful illustrations in The Polar Express. This book is recommended for middle and high school students who want an introduction to poetry and the fascinating life and talent of Emily Dickinson. inga recensioner | lägg till en recension
