Fast-paced. Thriller. Wolf was awesome ( )

I approached this book for some light reading. I'd read the first two, with the same attitude, and I knew that it wouldn't be a masterpiece. However, I was expecting something a little more gripping.

It's basically a rewrite of the first two put together, but supposedly from the point of view of a different character. I expected better.

I disliked Madison's point of view. The character herself was ok. She was distinct from lauren, definitely. But, I had been expecting the American girl who was introduced in the first book. Instead, Madison, upon moving to London, has decided to lose her American accent and vocabulary. Instead of this being an interesting part of her character, it seemed a way for the author to get out of writing out of her comfort zone.

And the plot was practically identical! Oh, guess what, they all get kidnapped again! Mo, Lauren and Jam! And Madison ends up in the sea! And oh guess what Lauren's new baby has been stolen to be sold to a childless couple! Deja vu much? Ok, I'll admit it, I thought that last plot point was quite clever, linking it back to the beginning of the first book, where Lauren finds out she was kidnapped. But really, there are practically no new ideas. And the ideas that are new, like Esme and Wolf, and their families and her dad's crazy baby scheme, seem unrealistic and like a kid's daydream. Oh yeah and then I made friends with the richest kids in London and we got chased by a tiger and the richest boy likes me and wants to date me and he follows me everywhere even though I told him I wouldn't date him and we solve everything by ourselves! Um... no.

I'm being a little harsh here. I thought it was an ok read. It gets 2 stars because it took me longer to read than the others due to not being able to stay focused on it as well, but it did give me mild amusement.
