Words of Radiance (The Stormlight Archive, Book 2) (utgåvan 2014)

The first book was filled with so much world building that it was hard to keep track of everyone. The second book was incredible because you’re already fully immersed in the lives of all the characters and now they are finally interacting! I love Shallon’s story. This book brings together so many of the plot lines that have been building. So many questions are answered. Now I can’t wait to read the next one.

The only thing that makes me sad about this book is that it is the start of a 10 book series that will probably need another 20-30 years to complete. That makes me sad because this is a really good world building fantasy story.

I just don't want to spoil anything so I find it hard to make any comments beyond general praise. The only criticism I can think of is that it might be a little too predictable. The beautiful street we're lead down is not fundamentally different from other streets.

Given that the Nobel prize in literature was announced this week I will say that Sanderson will probably never be nominated, but that doesn't mean that his books are not entertaining and well crafted. ( )

The only thing I regret about starting this series is that it won't be done for several years. ( )

What a wonderful end to this two books. It keeps a lot of questions open for further books, but it closes down this story ark very nicely. I might have been a bit too harsh on the first book with only three stars, but reading those two books back to back it makes a fantastic read. ( )
