Brandon Sanderson writes really good books, of which this is another The only thing that makes me sad about this book is that it is the start of a 10 book series that will probably need another 20-30 years to complete. That makes me sad because this is a really good world building fantasy story. I just don't want to spoil anything so I find it hard to make any comments beyond general praise. The only criticism I can think of is that it might be a little too predictable. The beautiful street we're lead down is not fundamentally different from other streets. Given that the Nobel prize in literature was announced this week I will say that Sanderson will probably never be nominated, but that doesn't mean that his books are not entertaining and well crafted. The only thing I regret about starting this series is that it won't be done for several years. What a wonderful end to this two books. It keeps a lot of questions open for further books, but it closes down this story ark very nicely. I might have been a bit too harsh on the first book with only three stars, but reading those two books back to back it makes a fantastic read. inga recensioner | lägg till en recension
