This is the third and final book in the Books of Mortals series, and it was my favorite by far. The first two were good, but I did finish them thinking "That was it?" I loved that Jordin was the protagonist in this volume, and identified with her struggle, bitterness, and doubt. Of course, the story-telling was wonderful, as I expected from Dekker and Lee. This is worth the read! (

Nueve anos despues de que Rom Sebastian fue empujado a las circunstancias mas improbables como el heroe y portador de un secreto inimaginable, la alianza de sus seguidores esta en caos. Una batalla colosal contra La Orden les ha dejado desbandados y profundamente divididos tanto en estrategia como en la determinacion de llegar a convertirse en seres verdaderamente vivos y libres.
Solo quedan 36 seguidores realmente vivos que siguen siendo fieles a Rom. Esta pandilla en extincion tiene que luchar por sobrevivir mientras que La Orden esta enfocada en su total aniquilacion. Malentendidos y despreciados, su jornada sera una de desesperacion en contra de una nueva y mucho mas malvada Orden. Mientras la mano de maldad se levanta para destruirles, ellos tienen que apoyarse en su fe de que el perdurable poder del amor los ayudara a vencer todo y los guiara a la soberania.

Third part of the Dekker/Lee 'Books of Mortals' Series. Picks up the story - personal drawback is the gap between my reading of Mortal (book two) and this one. That having been said it's a really good read with a very exciting last section. (

I felt this book was lacking in plot. It just seemed to be a rehash of thoughts and ideas presented in the 1st two books. It also seemed a bit disjointed and the characters didn't seem to come alive as they did in the previous books. The end seemed a little rushed, but that was ok since by then I just wanted it to end anyway. (
