In the last book, Harley was still acting as Harleen Quinzel for the most part but it ended with them at a fifty-fifty split. Waller had sent them after the Basilisk, an evil enemy and told Deadshot that there was a traitor in their midst. The traitor turned out to be Black Spider. Deadshot shoots himself and Regulus, the man behind Basilisk, who is holding him rather than shoot Harley. The book opens up with the Joker who is alive and has taken back his skinned face kidnapping Harley. But Harley isn't sure she wants to be with him the way that he is so she escapes and goes back to the suicide squad. Deadshot isn't really dead. For once his aim was off and he missed his heart. Boomerang has come back. Voltac has joined the team. He has the power of electricity. Waller wants them to go after Red Orchid and to pick up a package that is in her possession. This is a dangerous mission and one especially so for Yo-Yo who is the brother of Red Orchid. Red Orchid has the ability to grow vines and have poisonous properties. And she isn't working alone. This series just keeps getting better and better. The evolution of Harley is very interesting to watch and to see how Deadshot plays in the drama is fun to see. Not everyone makes it out alive. I can't wait to read the next book in the series. I really recommend this book. Woo – and I thought the last volume was twisted! In Volume 2, Deadshot killed himself while taking out the bad guy, or so it seemed. Volume 3 opens with his funeral and the surprising return of the Joker. He’s here for Harley and he’s none too pleased she got naughty with Deadshot. The first third of the book is their reunion and it pretty much sums up how sick this series is. It also shows that there is much more to Harley than anyone thinks, including Joker. I love that she truly gets the chance to kiss some a@@ in this volume. The rest of the book confirms that death is never a guarantee in the comic book world, for heroes or villains. The Basilisk storyarc continues here as we learn about a character that has the ability to turn off metahumans’ (“super” people) powers and everyone wants him! The Squad find themselves in the unusual position of being given the choice to continue the mission or not. Overall, this is an excellent continuation of the series. The characters are being developed beyond just “bad guys” and Harley’s new quirk has the potential for a lot of humor. And despite the cliffhanger ending, I like how the series isn’t just limited to missions of the week – it’s getting some depth. Highly recommended. inga recensioner | lägg till en recension

But things aren't all rosy, alas, and you thought that *you* had a nasty breakup?
Well Mr. J and Harley can absolutely redefine that term for you. It'll help anyone out with that lauded perspective thingie. :)
And then there's Yo-Yo. I never would have guessed his character could stretch so far and cover all of my regard? I love this guy. He's so much better than that weenie over at Fantastic Four. Plus, he has one hell of a hothouse flower of a sister. :) ( )
