Review to follow. The night Amy Henderson is pulled from Lake Onslow by Sean Murphy, is also her last night in Onslow. Her parents send her away to an all-girls’ school. Three years later, she’s in the city with her parents, having deferred uni for a year. However, Amy’s restless and a quick decision to return to her parents’ hotel, The Onslow leaves her nervous at revisiting to the home she was once exciled from.

Within five minutes of her arrival, she realizes that coming back was a mistake. Her dad let the place slide when he went through a mid-life crisis and Amy is standing in the middle of a dilapidated property wishing she hadn’t come. When Sean Murphy himself walks through the door, a mortified Amy thinks things can’t get any worse. Then the floor beneath her feet gives out and she literally ends up in Sean Murphy’s arms.

Endless Summer is book two in the Summer series. I didn’t read the first book in the series, but author, CJ Duggan does a phenomenal job of making the reader feel like they haven’t missed a thing. I was instantly pulled into Amy and Sean’s world. Each character came across so vividly, as did the relationship between Amy and Sean.
It’s a story fraught with sexual tension, that will reel readers in. The perfect summer read which definitely has
me wanting to take a trip to Australia!

Bottom Line: Endless Summer is full of a million wonderful moments that will make your toes curl and your heart melt. A must read! ( )

I really enjoyed the first book in this series, The Boys of Summer, and couldn't wait to read An Endless Summer, especially when I found out it was about Sean and Amy. Sean was one of my favorite characters in The Boys of Summer. An Endless Summer picks up about 3 years after The Boys of Summer left off. Amy Henderson finds herself back in Onslow for the summer for the first time in 3 years. It was 3 years ago that Sean saved her from almost dying. It's been 3 years since she has seen him, or any of the Onslow Boys. With her dad now living in the city, she needed a break from her parents and decided to spend the summer at their hotel. What she wasn't counting on was the state of shambles she found the hotel in when she arrived, and as luck would have it, she finds herself in the arms of Sean Murphy as he saves her yet again. Now little Amy isn't so little anymore, and it isn't long before Sean realizes that. Of course he has always been a ladies man, and now that he is back in town after working away for the past 2 years, the ladies in town definitely have their eye on him again. Despite her protests, Sean, as well as Toby and Tess, who are also back for the summer, Stan, Ringer, and even Ellie, Chris, and Adam all wind up back in Onslow for the summer and pitch in to help her get the hotel back in shape, up, and running. Amy is determined to show her parents that the Onslow Hotel is a good investment and doesn't need to be sold, and Sean is determined to help her, whether she wants him to or not.

Sean and Amy argue and smart off at one another, but the chemistry between them is undeniable. Amy is stubborn, independent, snarky, smart mouthed, and doesn't want to take Sean's charity. Sean is hot as hot can be, has a killer smile, and seems to know just what Amy needs and how to handle her, and she is exactly what he needs to. I enjoyed watching their relationship grow as the summer progressed, while they overcame so many obstacles, the biggest being their pride. It wasn't a love at first sight thing, but was something that definitely grew over time. It was also great getting to see what was going on with the other characters from The Boys of Summer(book one). C.J. Duggan has written the characters in such a way that you feel like you really know them all. The story is told from Amy's point of view, and captured my attention from beginning to end. I loved the Australian setting and the Australian lingo. An Endless Summer is a great story that is entertaining, romantic, and funny. It also ends really well, and their is an epilogue, which is one of my favorite things. If you are looking for a great book for the beach, vacation, or while just sitting around the house chilling, then An Endless Summer is just that. Check it out. ( )

What do you do when you realize that the place you love and where you spent your summers has been let go? That is what happens to Amy. She returns from boarding school and decides that she wants to return to Onslow. Her father used to take care of it and stay there, but her mom demanded more of him and he left the Onslow to work on his marriage. After Amy returns, she gets sick of being around her lovey–dovey parents and decides to head to the old hotel for a “vacation.”

She does not know what she is returning to. The place is falling apart and has only one staff member, Matt, whom she is not entirely sure about. It is there she meets Sean Murphy again. He was the boy who saved her life after her near-drowning incident three years prior, which got her banished to boarding school. He is the last person she wants to see and she certainly doesn't want his help to restore the Onslow to its former beauty. Will Amy be able to restore the Onslow? What will happen between Sean and Amy?

I really liked this book even though there are some parts which would have made me not want to buy this book if I had not liked The Boys of Summer as much as I did. (When I say that I’m talking about language and sex. I understand that this is a new adult book and those are implied with that genre, but that is the reason I don’t read a lot of New Adult.) Even with my biases about the genre, I really enjoyed this book.

I wasn't sure how An Endless Summer would hold up without the same Onslow characters, but they delivered the same feelings as the first book. I really like Duggan’s writing style. I like that her main characters have flaws that you actually see and not just hear about. They are not perfect.

I like Sean and his humor. He is unwavering in his pursuits. When he wants something, he goes after it and that is admirable. The Summer series is one that I will be following. ( )
