Deep in the swamp, a baby alligator crawls out of its broken shell. What's in store for this little reptile? Follow it through its first adventures, and get a glimpse into the world of these amazing creatures. The easy-to-read text describes how alligators live, from what they eat to how they swim so quickly. You'll also find fun facts about alligators' dinosaur-hunting ancestors and their more contemporary cousin, the crocodile. Written for children, this volume presents a brief outline of the life of the alligator from hatching from the egg to surviving the first weeks of life. The author also explains how alligators have existed since the days of the dinosaurs. One fact i learned from this is that alligators are found only in the southern USA and China. Crocodiles are found all over the world. Baby Alligator is a book that teaches about alligators. It starts out talking about the baby alligator as it hatches from the egg, and follows the alligator through adulthood. It talks bout many things that many people probably don't know about alligators. I thought this book was really interesting. I found out things about alligators that I didn't know. I learned that alligators only live in two places, which includes China and the southern Uninted States. I would use this book with a lesson on alligators. I would read the book to the students, and then we would discuss all the facts we learned. We would use a map or globe and find where alligators live. inga recensioner | lägg till en recension
