Collection of the short eBooks Penguin issued for Doctor Who’s fiftieth anniversary, one each month with the first Doctor in January, second Doctor in February and so on up to the eleventh Doctor in November. They’ve clearly gone to some expense to get these authors with Artemis Fowl/...And Another Thing author Eoin Colfer, Children’s Laureate Malorie Blackman, Skulduggery Pleasant’s Derek Landy and even the eternally prolific Neil Gaiman contributing. As with a majority of story collections from various authors it’s unlikely anyone will unreservedly love all eleven tales but there’s plenty to love – Michael Scott’s Troughton vs Cthulu story, Blackman’s alternative universe Dalek tale, Charlie Higson’s thoughtful take on a ninth Doctor story and particularly Gaiman’s Nothing O’Clock (with creepy, Margaret Thatcher impersonating villain) are all worth a read. inga recensioner | lägg till en recension
