Bobby the bold is a great story to teach that being yourself is what makes you, you. A bonobo monkey is the only one in the whole primate group in the zoo. The primate groups is all chimps. They don't include Bobby because he's different. After be friending the zookeeper, Bobby goes for a night on the town and discovers new things. After changing his hair which is the big difference between Bobby and the chimps, the chimps all want to be like Bobby. ( )

One of my daughters' favorite books this year, went over well with library storytime kids and E's first grade classroom. The humor is understated but easy to understand. A lot shorter than Curious George. Look up some of the sign language used in the book to enrich the story. ( )

When I looked at the first page, I thought, "Ugh. Look at all that text." But, no! It's very fun. The way the zookeeper plays a song on the lock pad totally won me over. Very cute. ( )
