Boston Teran’s newest novel “The Country I Lived In” follows the quest of John Lourdes in his search for the truth surrounding the death of his long time friend. With the help of spitfire and love interest, Mia, his journey from Texas throughout Mexico proves not only to be a bloodbath, but also a true page-turner. I don’t avidly read books involving outlaws and assassins and yet I found myself absolutely needing to know what was going to happen next. Teran’s writing style is clear, crisp and yet poetic. This was a unique and thrilling story that kept me up late at night reading and wanting more. You won’t regret picking up this book.
