Miss Finn got rid of some boxes and the boys began to play with the boxes. The boys made a train, race cars, and a jet with the boxes which resulted in a big mess. When Miss Finn asked who made the mess, the boys said it was the wind. Once the boys finally told Miss Finn the truth, they were rewarded. This story shows that lying is wrong and the best thing to do is tell the truth. ( ) Miss Finn's empty boxes become the means by which a boy and his dog make a train, car, jet and a big mess. Miss Finn comes out to find the big mess and the boy said that it was caused by a big wind - it was his big fib. But in the end the truth prevails and everyone is friends. The illustrations in this early reader are energetic with great details. This is a fun, adventurous book for all young readers. This is a wonderful book for young readers who are learning to read independently. There is a great plot with wonderful action with a bit of a lesson, thrown in for fun. I enjoyed reading this book and recalling how I used to have fun playing with the leftover cardboard boxes, and I think most young readers would have a story or two of their own to share on this subject as well. This would be a great book for a small group of students to read independently and then share their own stories about what they made out of boxes (or blankets) when they were playing. inga recensioner | lägg till en recension
