Burnt out Hawkeye is defending his apartment block from an extremely hostile takeover by tracksuit-wearing Slavic goons and their clown-faced master assassin. Kate Bishop has left him to his misery (see volume 3 'L.A. Woman'). And then in the middle of the mess, Hawkeye's dodgy brother shows up. The artwork is a bit edgier than in previous volumes and the storyline a bit darker too. Overall the tone is great. (  ) questbird | Jul 24, 2018 | Oh my gosh, this book was AMAZING!!! I'll be putting a lot of spoilers below because I don't want to ruin it for anyone, but seriously, this was the coolest way for Matt Fraction to end his run. I'm really excited to pick up All-New Hawkeye now and see where the series goes. I think I have officially been converted to a lifelong Hawkeye fan. Also, good dog, Lucky. This overlaps some with Volume 2, and follows Clint's continued battle with the Track Suit Mafia. Because it's Clint, he has a plan -- sort of. With the help of Barney (yes, that Barney!!), and the building's tenants, he's ready to defend his turf.
This was so good, and I am torn whether to continue with this series, under a new creative writer, or just end it right here.
Also, Kate's father. WTF. (
