Great start to the series, definitely continuing. I enjoyed the characters and the descriptions of the town. Like many cozies it did make me hungry, but food descriptions were done well. ( )

This was an enjoyable read. Juliet has returned to her childhood home of Ashland, Oregon, the home of the Shakespeare Festival. She and her husband were chefs on a cruise ship. She left after learning some news about her husband. This is not revealed until much later in the book. The author does a great job of building up why she left her husband.
Juliet is helping her Mom run Torte. Although she knows most of the people in Ashland, there are some newcomers who are making waves and enemies. One such person, Nancy Hudson, is found lying in a pool of blood in Torte. Juliet's old high school flam, Thomas, is now on the police force and is one of the investigators.
I'm liking where this series is headed. The book ended with unanswered questions regarding Juliet and Thomas. Will Juliet get back together with her husband? How does Thomas fit into the scenario. I intend on reading more of this series. ( )
