Review: This was a great standalone book and to the series. I learned so much from the entire series! This book was one of my favorites in the series. I looked forward to the reprint of these books. They were so sweet and enjoyable. It was easy to like Leah she was the kind of person anyone would want as a friend. The Biblical woman Leah and this character were similar and it was such a memorable pairing that this is one of the things that resonated with me most. I liked the romance and all of the windfalls Leah had but for me the Biblical reference was the greatest.

leah is a nurse and takes care of all the residents of glenbrook when they need help. she helps young and old and was delivering
to a neighbor when her car stopped working. the UPS man comes by to make his delivery and he needs help in getting to the new complex
in town so she goes with him to show him, they get dinner, a new puppy and back to her house. so much going on with real life, surgeries,
deaths and helping everyone she can. shen she breaks down at the funeral reception others in the town help take care of her for a change.
her faith again helps her handle it and move on with her life. ( )

Small-town girl Leah dreams of seeing the world, but spends all of her time helping the elderly residents of her little home town. When Seth, the ne'er-do-well nephew of one of those elderly residents, returns from trekking across the globe, Leah fantasizes about the prospect of a romance. Seth is sweet and attentive, but when a surprise inheritance drops into her lap, Leah finds herself questioning his motives.

This is an enjoyable inspirational romance, though it is perhaps one of the weaker books in the Glenbrooke series. Leah's self-conscious immaturity, combined with the far-fetched conditions of her inheritance, make this read a little less engaging than Gunn's other books. However, fans of the Glenbrooke series will not want to miss it, and newcomers may enjoy the lighthearted romance. ( )
