Picture book about a nana and her grandson riding the bus all the way to the end of Market Street. They are going to volunteer at a soup kitchen after church. On the way, they meet a variety of people and experience all that urban life has to offer. The nana teaches CJ (grandson) a valuable life lesson about happiness and being grateful. I think this book is super cute and very applicable to lots of different children! It teaches kids about being grateful for what they have and the life they live. I would definitely use this book in a classroom setting for 1st-2nd graders. This book would be great for primary or intermediate readers for a read aloud This book is about a child to goes on a bus with his grandma and quickly compares his life to others, all to realize that others live unique and difficult lives as well This book would be a great one to read aloud to help grow perspective or to create a life skills conversation out of.
