The many types of books in our bible are here arranged with chapter and verse numbers in the outside margins only and the poetic language is beautiful.

A pleasant easy to read translation, This has become "The Bible in the Bathroom" at our house (

If you want to read the Bible, which I'm not necessarily recommending, you could do a lot worse than this translation. Designed to be fairly readable by modern English speakers and yet do justice to the poetry, I found this the first Bible that I was able to understand what it was saying without notes. (
