Probably not the best introduction to Jane Austen. The stories were written when she was a teenager for fun, and are understandably charming but somewhat awkward. (

You can definitely tell that this is her earlier work as it is nowhere near as polished as her more famous works, but it was hilarious and dark and well worth a read. (
