Written in clear everyday language, this book counsels the reader by posing questions and then illustrating how others have responded through personal stories and illustrations from Biblical characters facing the same issue. Each of us has the power to choose to let God heal us, and this book encourages everyone to do so. inga recensioner | lägg till en recension
DO YOU WANT TO GET WELL? The power to heal--physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually--is in God's hands.nbsp; But the choice to be healed is yours. Everyone, at some level, needs healing. You maynbsp;have prayed for healing many times, for many years. Perhaps you have lived with yournbsp;brokenness so long that you have become accustomed to it. Maybe you wonder justnbsp;when God is going to take all the hurt away. He can. But you also must choose to let the hurt go and let the healing begin. In this special edition of Healing Is a Choice, author Stephen Arterburn offers a uniquenbsp;combination of book and workbook, outlining ten choices crucial to receiving healing.nbsp;Embracing these choices means rejecting the lies we often tell ourselves. These are notnbsp;hoops God requires you to jump through to earn your miracle; they form, instead, thenbsp;journey He desires for you. He can--and will--walk with you. But you must put onenbsp;foot in front of the other and choose to let the hurt go and let the healing begin. "His Word affirms that God wants us to experience His healing, but many timesnbsp;we make choices that stand in the way. Healing Is a Choice is a helpful resource thatnbsp;lays out the path of healing God's way." -- JACK HAYFORD Founding pastor, The Church on the Way, Van Nuys, CA "When we look back at the past turns and twists in the pathways of our lives, wenbsp;can see significant choices we made, which helped create the lives we have now.nbsp;Stephen Arterburn has provided us with a guide for making the right decisionsnbsp;today to provide a redemptive path for tomorrow." --JOHN TOWNSENDnbsp;Coauthor of the bestseller Boundaries "I am asking you to give up your life as you know it so that you can fi nd the lifenbsp;God has for you. Take hold of your future today and make the choices that willnbsp;lead to your healing." --STEPHEN ARTERBURN "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." --Psalm 147:3 Inga biblioteksbeskrivningar kunde hittas. |

Connect your life with others, or give in to the lie that “all I need to heal is just God and me.” You can’t heal at your own.
Face life. Pain’s real. Don’t believe that “real” Christians experience real peace in all circumstances.
Thoroughly investigate life in search of truth, or embrace the lie that it does no good to look back.
Seek healing for the future. Time doesn’t heals all wounds.
Help one’s life. Self-sufficiency isn’t enough.
Embrace life. Denying its existence is a pure lie.
Espouse forgiveness. Nobody deserves forgiveness by default. It’s grace!
Allow risk its proper place. You can’t protect yourself from every risk, pain or negative emotion.
Serve today. Waiting for complete healing may take too long.
Persevere, if you’re not want to end up hopeless.
The author provides many narratives, real-life scenarios, and personal experiences to lift you up, and challenge your healing process. He openly shares his own brokenness and about his divorce and how it has affected his life. No quick fixes or instant success. Arterburn is cautious: “Your healing may be physical or it may be emotional and it could be spiritual. I don’t know what God has for you. I am confident, however, that if you make the healing choices presented here and counter the lies you need to stop living, you will experience some level of healing to a new degree.” (intro, p.15). The 2011 version of the 2005 original now includes a full workbook, with open questions, bible study material and key learning point. New Life organizes workshops on Healing is a Choice. ( )
