They showed me the bone fragments, and the charred diamond, and everything else - but I said to hell with their theory. Wilma was alive and I knew it. She had to be. The newspapers were yelling that I had murdered her! Inga biblioteksbeskrivningar kunde hittas. |

Perhaps you better have the wife provide you with a few straight answers before two hoodlums show up and threaten to break your kneecaps. At least get some answers before the entire combined Illinois law enforcement community is hunting you down, thinking you blew your top and killed the wife, Wilma.
"Who Has Wilma Lathrop" is the love story of Jim and Wilma Lathrop and what happens when Wilma's dark past catches up with her. It is a terrific mid-1950's pulp crime novel and another example of why Day Keene is one of the best. It's an easy-reading tight story. Good stuff.
Day Keene ("Gunnar Hjerstedt") was one of the pulp greats from the 1950's. Along with Gil Brewer and Talmadge Powell, two of the other pulp era greats, he made his home in Tampa Bay, Florida, and wrote dozens of hardboiled novels. If you enjoy the pulp novels of that era, I strongly suggest you make it a habit of reading Keene. He's one of the best. ( )
