Judith Viorst is a Whole Mood. She does remind me a bit of Beverly Cleary.

Sometimes children are like that.

Saying good-bye is hard for all kids to learn, but through this book you will see a little boy learning about leaving and returning are normal. It is okay to be sad when you say good-bye, but it is important to remember that it will not be long until you see them again.

A boys parents are getting to go out for dinner and he refuses to let them go out for dinner.

The book is about a boy who does not want his parents to go for the night and stay with a babysitter, but at the end, he realizes that babysitters are ok.
