Feeding the Flying Fanellis is a book of poems all based on the food that a chef cooks for the various circus performers. There were various styles of poems but they were all rhyming which is what children will identify with. The illustrations were amazing. It gives the children a great insight into what a circus is really like. In the story we see trapeze artists, bareback riders, a human cannonball, tightrope walker and more. You do not need to read this book from start to finish. Each page or poem stands alone. This is a great book to introduce poetry to young children in a fun way. What do you feed a trapeze family to keep them up in the air? A fire eater with a penchant for hot sauce? Or a lion with a gourmet palate? How do you satisfy a sweet-toothed human cannonball who's outgrowing his cannon? Find out what keeps these performers juggling, balancing, and entertaining--meals prepared by their tireless chef! Poems from this jolly cook give a glimpse of his unusual perspective, from delightful to downright funny. Enjoy a front-row seat for this whimsical look at circus life that just might make you hungry! Inga biblioteksbeskrivningar kunde hittas. |
