The illustrations are fun and whimsical, as is the text, which rhymes. I liked the suggestions from the author at the back of the book of how you could use the book as an aide for teaching skip counting by 5 and 10. For example, you could read it with manipulatives on the table for the kids. I think it would be a great book for a small group setting, and would liven up lessons that teach these essential skills.
