Arthur C. Clarke is one of the greatest science fiction writers of the century, and surely the most celebrated science fiction writer alive. He is -- with H. G. Wells, Isaac Asimov and Robert A. Heinlein -- one of the writers who define the genre. Now, at the dawn of the year 2001, Sir Arthur C. These stories vary wildly in quality. A couple were really good but quite a few more were forgettable to DNF quality. Worth a look for interested parties but don't hesitate to skip a story or two is my advice.

Another quibble is the production quality of the narration. One narrator in particular was all over the place in volume. After turning it up to have a chance of hearing certain sections your ears would get blown out shortly thereafter. ( )
