This was an adorable book. The story was so cute and easy to follow. I read this a little everyday to my 7 year old daughter. She loves cats and loved this story. It talks to you and asks questions which helped me help my daughter pay attention and stay engaged in the story. It teaches about friendship and compassion and gentleness. All in all I found nothing wrong with this book and both me and my daughter enjoyed it very much. ( )

Great book for more advanced readers.

This Book was about a cat named Patches, she had an owner and one day Patches wanted to go somewhere because she felt a need to go some where that has solitude. There was a dog named Gus that was loud and his owner left them outside everyday. When Patches went out she got lost and it started to get dark and she was very hungry, then mouse ran past her and she wanted to eat the mouse but she let the mouse run away. After she found Gus's dog house and laid there then Gus got mad and then she gave birth to 3 kittens. She found out that when her neighbor cat came over she got pregnant. Gus got attached to Patches and her kittens, and she got found by her owner. Gus got upset and wanted her and her kittens back to live with him again.
I loved this book because i liked how the words were laid out and easy to read, it was a very cute book. I recommend to any age to read. I read it multiple times and I asked my mom to get it for me at Christmas because I loved it so much. I feel the concept of this book is good and entertaining to read. ( )

This book tells the story of a little cat, Patches, and her adventures while getting lost. This story is written in narrative poem form and would be a great example when introducing types of poems. The book is also very unique with the way some of the words a written and arranged on the page. Students could use many of the different poetic forms when writing their own poem or narrative poem. ( )
