Arroz con leche: canciones y ritmos populares de América Latina Popular… (utgåvan 1992)

This book is a poem style book that goes through a recipe and emphasizes the coming together of family around the food. I would have this book as it could be used to discuss culture, recipes, family, relationships, heritage, & poetry in a reg or ESL classroom.

Bringing in tradition and songs to the classroom would be great to use in an ESL class!

Arroz con leche are popular songs and rhymes of Latin American is one of my favorite books because the son remain me my childhood. I like to share this son with my daughters as part of their heritage and they love this song. My younger daughter she just look the pictures and star singing the son, she don’t know how to read (she is 4) but the picture of the book show a clear image of what the song go. Also this book is a great tool to teach your children to speak a fluent Spanish. Personally I love this book, I will keep this as a memory of my cultural traditions, and I will pass this tradition to my daughters.
