Little takes the innocuous, the familiar, and twists it into a grotesque carnival house of mirrors horror show. I think that I like Little because lines don't exist for him. I have read so many horror novels that don't cross lines because there are some lines too horrible to cross. Little doesn't even see the lines as he marches right across them. That is what is so horrifying about his books, they make you uncomfortable. They are not just scary, they are nightmares. Granted, this is not his best, but still a great read for horror fans.
Once upon a time, waiting for the mail was filled with warm anticipation. But there's a new mail carrier in town, one who's delivering lethal letters stuffed with icy fear. Now nothing--not even the most outstanding citizens or the most secret weaknesses--is safe from the sinister power of this malicious mailman! Inga biblioteksbeskrivningar kunde hittas. |

These books are so much fun. Stupid, route, trite - Yeah. But Little handles it all so competently. Lots of bloody horror with gore and jump scares between the lines. It's easy to read his books.
Doggo warning.
Off-screen dog death and on-screen dog gore. The human death and gore is by far worse. But Little's books are so hard to take seriously that you aren't upset by any of it. It's just so over the top.
I'm going to continue reading his books because so many of them are set in a pre-internet era and they are just so much fun. I need to give my brain a rest. ( )
