What starts out as a simple abandoned child case turns out to be much more when Hailey learns that the young mother who deserted her child lived a far from perfect life and is now presumed dead by the police. Hailey’s desire to help little Tommy leads her into trouble as Hailey becomes involved in the search to find the missing mother, despite the warnings of Officer Ryan Thomas, the newest member of the Hamley Police Department. But her yearning for excitement causes her to throw caution to the wind and puts Hailey in a dangerous situation that only Ryan can help get her out of.
