Whether we want to admit it or not, we are all going to die in some way. Whether that death is natural, accidental, from disease, or from war, we are all going to face our death.

There are those who have faced it and lived to tell about it. There are others who lost dear loved ones and who's lives changed. People all over the world face death.

As scary as the topic is to some people, we can learn a lot from people who share about death. This is what this book is- a series of lessons about death and the life that happens afterward. Some of the reflections are religious in nature, some are just straightforward, and some come from a place of deep tragedy. They all are about death though from different perspectives and all through story.

The book itself was a very quick read for me, but I loved the reflections contained within. I kept going through them minute by minute until I realized I had finished the whole book in one sitting. An hour or so had just breezed by because the reflections were so interesting.

While I may not give this to someone who is having to work through the death of a loved one, I would possibly share it with someone who is dying or is capable about talking about death. As stated, it is not an easy topic for many people, but having faced it myself a few times, I was quite comfortable with the reflections.

I rated it a solid 4 stars.

I received this book for review from Edelweiss in exchange for an honest review. ( )
